Spring Time

4/6/2021

Springtime means garden improvements and at The Wood Yard we have been busy building up our stocks of cladding, decking, fencing, timber for raised flower beds and complimentary accessories in advance of the season.

With composite decking increasingly popular we now stock both grey and charcoal boards in 3.6m lengths together with the associated fixing kits.  We have also built an on-site display area to exhibit this range.  We continue to hold large stocks of timber decking in different lengths and whilst historically Timber decking has always been more affordable than Composite, the increase in timber prices over the past 12 months has meant that the price gap has narrowed making Composite decking more affordable.

If you let us know the area you are interested in decking and we will be happy to offer quotes on both types taking into consideration the expansion gaps needed (it varies between the types) the number of fixings required (composite), screws for timber and self-colour for the solid composite boards. And don’t forget the framework.

If your decking requires a frame on which the decking is to be laid we can quote on the timber (usually 47mm x 100mm ) with minimum wastage dependent on the lengths and required centres (we recommend 600mm).

We look forward to hearing from you
